Default baldwin filters

I recently bought 2 Baldwin oil filters. Did I make a good decision?

I have used Baldwin filters on heavy equipment, semi trucks and pickups without a problem for a few decades. You should be fine if you speced the correct filters.

See if you can find out how small a particle they filter out. That is one way to tell a bit more about a filter.

we found that baldwin filters weren't as good a filter as fleetguard or the deere filters we carry one of the guys i work with used it on his 1066 international and as soon as he shut the tractor off and went to take the filter off to drain it it was empty so they don't have anti drain back i recommend the fleetguard or the deere filter part # TY22013 use deere filters on all my vehicles for my chev truck it cost me $2.00 a filter for the cummins its $5.00 a filter i didn't change oil on the chev every 3000 always went over and the oil was dark brown not coal black did a good job thats my 2 cents anyway

Deere filters are fleetgaurd just re-branded. Not sure what their plus 50 oil is but it's superior to any oil I have used. Be it synthetic or standard. New Holland uses the 5.9 in their tractors so they should also have compatible filters. Tractor parts are usually priced more reasonable than truck parts even though they are the same part.

the plus 50 means when used with john deere filters you can go 50% over your oil change

its the same with the synthetic too 0w40 plus 50 i found that john deere doesn't like to stick there name on junk costs alittle more but most of the stuff is made in the U.S.

I knew their had to be a reason my father in laws JD's from the 60's were still running strong and rarely have a problem. That's a company that builds stuff to last. The first john deere you buy will be the last tractor you ever need. They aren't cheap though.
