Default Lost an Injector

While traveling yesterday, and testing some mods to the Cal-Cat, I lost an injector. According to the the Black Maxx, I lost #2. Under warranty, and it was going in to get the trans fixed anyway

Thank you Eric.

I lost 2 injectors. #2 and 5. They electrically failed. The factory won't warranty them, but we made a deal. They pay the labor, I pay for the injectors. Heh Heh Heh There is no way I was going to pay $3000 for 2 injectors, so I asked Eric where to get some. No good shops around here and the Bosch dealer here has a very bad rep. Eric turned me onto a guy and I'll have a pair Monday. $1000

With these injectors being so new, i figured not everyone has the proper testing stand and equipment. I thought it best to get Bosch remans.

Well, The injectors did the trick. Now I have to get the trans fixed. They said the clutch pressure is too high. It's not a valve body problem

Its probably closer to 24 I've seen him post his overhead numbers before. The are way off. But 24 is damn good.

32 would be 28 if the overhead was still with a 4 MPG error. But I agree, 24 or maybe 25 now would be more accurate. If I hit 25, I just made history 23 was impressive without all these recent changes. Look at Russ. . . He got almost 4 MPG right out of the box! Yeah baby

That CalCat is really doing the job now.

Tex, we have a new gadget that is really doing the job. www.mileageimprover.com

I am a believer in the Cal-Cat product as well.

I have only had this product on my truck for a few thousnds miles now and I do not use it everyday, but I do notice a differance in throttle response, mpg's and less pressure on the pedal to maintain a certain speed.

I am really looking forward to this coming spring and hooking onto the 31' toyhauler and compairing it to the some of the logged info I have without the Cal-Cat.

I gotta get you as bottle of that Mileage Matters. Throw that on top of the Cal Cat and you'll think your driving a motor cycle. LOL

I wonder if a problem in those two injectors was causing the problems I was haveing with the MPG down. Electrically they are good or bad. Bust something went astray internally. The mech said the coils worked.

Steve too bad your a good distance away and I just bought the new tranny or we would be getting together to install one of them on my rig.

Good God. I would do my own, let alone someone elses. I can barely handle a car trans now.

Installation is no big deal.

Remove the EGR Cooler, pick up some brass fitting, a small piece of angle iron, some heater hose, some fuel line and hose clamps.

Walla Cal-Cat installed.
