Default Electric Brake Controller

I've got to get a break controller and idk what the best one would be so I'm looking for some lead way. On our F550 that we're getting rid of we've got a Tekonsha P3 and it seems to work well. Any thoughts?

What do you plan on towing? Tekonsha makes some good controllers, but they're a bit pricey.

A 10,000# tractor with two 600# four wheelers. What type would you recommend for that?

That's a pretty good size load, Tekonsha might be a pretty good option. I've never had the need for a decent brake controller. I usually stay middle grade just because I don't tow all too much anymore. If you're hauling heavy and pretty often you might want to invest in a higher end controller for durability and reliability.

Great thanks! What would be some other break controllers that you would recommend that I should look into?

I'll have to look at mine it was around 100 dollars but works great. I have hauled a lot of stuff that weighs in at a lot more than that. Got it at atwoods it was the one that plug and played with a dodge so no wiring was needed. You have a cummins so I know it has the tow package. It's pre wired all you need is a controller that will plug in above the brake.

I have a Draw Tite controller on my truck. I've had it for about 10 yrs with no trouble at all. I've moved it from truck to truck and have pulled up to 15k lbs and the controller does the job.
